2016 Ford Endeavour Launched at Rs. 24.75 lacs
Endeavour has had a series of facelifts since it first broke cover but now this will be an all new version based on a new platform.
Ford has launched their flagship SUV, the Endeavour in India at Rs. 24.75 lacs (ex-showroom Mumbai). The Endeavour was amongst the first few products Ford brought to the country and it still holds immense brand value and recall. While the Endeavour has had a series of facelifts since it first broke cover, this is an all new version based on a new platform. It will be competing against the likes of Chevrolet Trailblazer and Toyota Fortuner,
The SUV is powered by two engine options; a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder unit and larger 3.2 litre inline 5. While the 2.2 litre engine is available with both an automatic and a manual transmission, the larger 3.2 version comes with an automatic transmission only. Likewise, the 2.2 gets a 4x2 variant whereas the 3.2 is 4x4 only. Power output stands at 160PS/385Nm for the smaller engine and 200PS/470Nm for the bigger one.
The top-spec 3.2 gets Terrain Management System as well. Essentially similar to Land Rover's Terrain Response System, the Ford gets mode like Snow, Sand, Grass, Mud and Rocks to fine tune the 4x4 response. It also gets a host of goodies such as a panoramic sunroof, 8 inch infotainment system coupled with 10 speakers, active noise cancellation, etc.
The car will be available in 6 colours viz. Sunset Red, Golden Bronze, Moondust Silver, Panther Black, Diamond White and Smoke Grey. Variant-wise prices are as follows:
