While the first lot of Golf GTIs have been spoken for, it remains to be seen if the carmaker decides to bring more units to satisfy enthusiasts
After a long time Volkswagen will be offering a hot hatchback in the nation, called the Golf GTI, pre-bookings of which commenced earlier this month on May 5, 2025. The renowned hatchback will make its way to India via the CBU route and will be available in limited quantities. In this regard, the carmaker has now closed the pre-bookings of the Golf GTI as all the allocated units that have been brought to India have been spoken for.
Will There Be More Golf GTIs In India?
While the carmaker is yet to comment on this, it remains to be seen if Volkswagen decides to bring more units of the Golf GTI to our country. But considering the hot response for the VW Golf GTI, we hope the German carmaker satisfies the craving of enthusiasts by bringing in more units.
Volkswagen did a similar move with the T-ROC, which was launched back in March 2020. 2,500 units of the T-ROC were brought to India, which sold out quickly. In 2021, Volkswagen brought in another batch of T-ROCs to satisfy the carmaker’s potential customers. We hope VW does a similar initiative with the Golf GTI provided there is justifiable demand.
