Toyota India mulling over Toyota Etios Hybrid
Toyota Motors is doing an in-depth analysis and study of the Indian market to check out whether the idea of introducing a hybrid version of the Etios will be a wise decision or not. Though the company has not yet decided any particular time for introducing this hybrid version but as far as the petrol version of the Etios is concerned, it will be launched in December this year. The diesel engine will probably be launched the next year after the launch of the petrol version.

Mitsuhiro Sonoda, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific President commented that they are trying to find out every possible alternative for introducing the Etios other than its petrol and diesel variants. He also said that the market will also be studied and analysed by the company for finding the options of launching the car in some other fuel options like CNG and LPG.
Sonoda also stated that they had to discuss the matter of introducing Etios with other fuel options with the Government too. This option will also be considered with some other facts like the availability of infrastructure in the country. The decision will be taken at the right time, added Sonoda.
