The first official images of the brand new 2017 Scenic Renault has been published, this minivan will be presented to the public at the Upcoming Geneva Auto Show.

The upcoming Geneva Motor Show is going to be a grand event and with just a week or more to go, the organizers of the show came up with an unexpected surprise as they share the first official image of Renault’s all-new 2017 Scenic compact MPV. According to reports, the brand new Scenic will debut on March 1 at the Geneva Auto Show and will go on sale in the second half of this year.

The design of this new model is drastically different from the current model and features a more rounded silhouette which seems to be slightly inspired by the R-Space concept showcased at 2011 Geneva show. Though, the ‘suicide-style’ pillarless rear doors are missing, ground clearance has been raised and the rear overhang has been shortened.

The popular belief among the auto experts is that the French firm will be marketing this new minivan as a practical and spacious model that features qualities of a crossover, just like the larger Espace. Though technical details haven't been announced yet, but we know that it will be based on modular CMF platform of the Renault-Nissan Alliance which it will share with the Megane. It is expected to be placed between the Captur and Kadjar SUVs from Renault with regards to size and pricing, and will be offering a similar range of engines as the compact hatch.

Speculations are that new Scenic will be followed up by a longer and more upright Grand Scenic that will likely make its debut at the Paris Motor Show this fall. As per India launch of this MPV, nothing can be said for sure. Currently, there is Renault Lodgy MPV which is striving hard to make its impact in the market.
