New 2013 Skoda Octavia Spotted in India as Launch Nears
New Skoda Octavia is the one vehicle, which has been making buzz all around, and what is more exciting is the fact that India too will be receiving this vehicle here. The vehicle which is already on sale in many European markets, has now been spotted in India by a top gear reader Zubin Antalia, while its test runs in Mumbai. The revised Skoda Octavia has received changes both inside and out, helping the vehicle look better than before.

The 2013 Skoda Octavia is the first vehicle in Skoda's model line-up to have been spawned on the MQB platform, on which many Volkswagen cars are built including Golf and Seat Leon. The dimensions have gone bigger translating into more space and comfort, even though the size has gone bigger the weight has gone down all thanks to the MQB platform.
The 2013 Skoda Octavia is likely to replace the Laura, however, many believe that company might also keep the Laura until a new entry level variants of the new Octavia comes as a replacement. The 2013 Skoda Octavia is likely to come up with two engine options- a 1.8-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0 TDI turbocharged diesel engine. As per the word on the street, Skoda India might also fit a 1.6-litre TDI turbo diesel engine to keep the cost low.
