Mitsubishi rolls out 7-seater Outlander, slashes price by Rs 1 lakh
Mitsubishi has rolled out the 7-seater version of its Outlander SUV. At present, the Indian car market has a 5-seater model of the Mitsubishi Outlander. The 7-seater Outlander SUV is priced at Rs 19.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which is one lakh cheaper than the 5-seater version of the SUV, priced at Rs 20.25 lakh in India (ex-showroom Delhi). This new crossover is an adaptation of the 5-seater model of Outlander already traversing the Indian roads.

The new Outlander has not lost any of the equipment present in the current 5-seater model; there have been no changes in seating arrangement also. The only change that the new version has seen is the addition of a thin jump seat to the current seating layout which is added at the rear to accommodate a couple of extra passengers. The jump seat loses out on the comfort aspect and also leaves minimal leg room for the third row.

The only advantage of the jump seat is that it can be rolled and completely removed to exploit the extra cargo space. All the variants spanned by Mitsubishi Outlander are driven by a 2.4 liter engine that runs on a petrol motor and produces a power of 167BHP and a peak torque of 23kgm. This all-alloy twin-cam 4 cylinder engine is coupled with a 6-speed CVT box. The Mitsubishi 7-seater Outlander is said to achieve 0-100 speed in less than 10 seconds and the maximum attainable speed of the Outlander is 190kph.
