The 2016 Outlander is a refined crossover utility vehicle that features over 100 engineering and design improvements including a new, powerful and dynamic appearance, enhanced road performance as the result of improvements to noise levels, ride, handling and throttle response, and a more eloquent yet functional interior space. The new 2016 Outlander demonstrates the brand's renewed emphasis on style, refinement and overall driving experience.

No data about engines and performance capabilities have been released by Mitsubishi as of yet. The current international selling model comes with a 2.4 litre 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of 166bhp and 220Nm of peak torque. Another engine on offer is a bigger 3.0 litre unit pumping out 224bhp of power and a peak torque of 290Nm. Expect the engines to be re-tuned and gaining more strength, however both these units burn petrol and are unlikely to come to emerging markets. But the capable rally-spec all-wheel drive system will surely make it here. Expectation is the 2.8 litre unit from the Pajero will be making its way in this new Outlander.

Being a critic, his knowledge and skill extend both on four-wheels and two-wheels. Art experts around the globe argue that cars can never be art, but Abhijeet begs to differ. Also an avid photographer, he mentions that through the lens of an artist, cars are one of the most beautiful subjects. Both an engineer and MBA, he holds a keen eye for the product as well as corporate proficiency of the automobile industry.</p>Read more
