Mitsubishi Mirage could be India bound

The Japanese car manufacturer, Mitsubishi had showcased the sketch of its global small car, christened Mitsubishi Mirage during the 2011 Geneva Auto Expo. The auto giant is all set to unveil the small car next month at the Tokyo Motor Show. Mitsubishi as of now lacks a hatchback in its portfolio in India, therefore it is being speculated that Mirage can head towards India to fill the vacuum. Mirage could turn out to be a life-saver for Mitsubishi to pull itself together to get back on track. Therefore the probability is high that the Japanese auto giant might launch the hatchback in India next year.

The engine start-stop mechanism with the Alternator technology is designed to ramp up the fuel economy as the mechanism depends on the battery to revive the lifeless engine back to life. Moreover, the lighter engine leads to further fuel saving fulfilling the prime objective of the auto major.
