Mercedes AMG GT S Prices Announced
The German performance carmaker Mercedes-AMG has now confirmed that its new sports car- Mercedes-AMG GT will be introduced for the customer in United States in April 2015. The automaker has also announced that the S trim will be priced at $130,825 (INR 80.26 lac), which includes a $925 destination charge. Adding more to the excitement, the standard AMG GT will also be launched in the spring of 2016 and pricing will be announced closer to the date of arrival.

The Mercedes AMG GT S and AMG GT are powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine but difference between the two is of power development. The GT S version is tuned to churn a max power of 503 hp and 650Nm of torque in-between 1750-5000rpm, while GT musters a power of 456 hp and torque of 600Nm at 1600-5000rpm. Both GT and GT S features 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox which allows former to touch 0 to 100kmph in 3.9 seconds while the latter does the same in 3.7 seconds.
The car was showcased by Nico Rosberg, Mercedes Formula One driver and it competes with the likes of Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe. The car gets Nappa leather trim, a COMAND infotainment system, staggered wheels measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear, red brake calipers and many more.
