Hyundai Pavilion at Auto Expo
While people wait with anticipation to see the first look of their favourite cars, the company plans to keep the suspense alive and has hidden the cars in the trolley being carried towards the pavilion set for the display. Hyundai's officials are present at the event ready with their speeches it seems ! Pragati Maidan is flooded with media persons and event organisers making sure that everything goes perfect. The stages for the cars are still being set up. Hyundai will display Hyundai H1 (a 14 seater mini van), 2 sports car, Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai i10 electric tomorrow on 5th January.
At the 2010 , Hyundai will reveal Hyundai i10 Electric as an addition to its initiative towards green cars which will be launched by Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan who is also the brand of Hyundai Santro and Hyundai i10 series. The estimated price of i10 Electric is 23-25 lakhs. Hyundai will also launch a SUV model named Santa Fe in the . Hyundai in India has captured a large segment of market with its models namely, Santro, Getz, Accent, Verna, Sonata and Tucson. During the year 2009, two hatchback cars- i10 and i20 have gained a lot of popularity.
The other green cars that the company plans to manufacture are Santro CNG and LPG, Accent CNG LPG and i10 CNG. It is speculated that these cars will be displayed too,at the . Hyundai is planning to extend the facilities in its existing plant in Chennai as an export hub where all the Hyundai cars that will be sold in and out of the country will be manufactured here.
