Ford Fiesta Sedan; Test Mule Caught on Camera

The Ford Fiesta sedan was recently caught testing in China. Ford India has not had much success with the Fiesta, the main reason being pricing. As can be seen from the pictures, this version of the Fiesta sedan also gets the Aston Martin-ish grille that was incorporated in the Ford Fusion and was also seen on the Fiesta hatchback at the Paris Motor show.

The front bumper also gets an over-haul with a low setting air damn and changed black plastic fog lamp enclosures. The headlamps do not get much of a change but as can be seen their nearest point to the grille remains blunt to give it that Aston Martin-ish appearance.

While the rear is heavily camouflaged and does not reveal much, it can be deduced that Ford is coming up with some changes there too. A re-designed bumper and tail lights would be most welcome. The side profile will remain largely unchanged and so will the interior.

As for the engine, Ford will be adding their award winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine as part of the options. While the Fiesta may not have had much success in India due to its over-priced nature, we are hoping for the face-lifted version to be more competitively priced to get the Fiesta the recognition it deserves.
