Fiat Punto 90 HP gears up for the 'GQ expedition 2012' challenge

The recent news about the Fiat Grande Punto 90 HP EMOTION is that the car is being used at the GQ Expedition challenge of 2012. The car is being used by Captain Prabhakar AVR and Navigator Shiva Kalyan S with a hope to make it to the Limca Book of World Records, which they could not make last time. The record time set for this expedition is of 75 hours. The complete drive is stretched to 6041Kms. The Fiat Grande Punto 90 HP EMOTION is a delightful car from Fiat India and has a very powerful diesel engine which will suffice this expedition in all means.

Prabhakar AVR already holds records for 2180 km in 24 hours on bike. He also traveled more than four lakh kilometers in cars and bikes on Indian roads. Prabhakar AVR have travelled to Ladakh on Bike and has also done a speed run of 2270 kms in less than 23 hours in car without stopping. Shiva Kalyan S also holds endurance records of around 2000 kms nonstop in a Grande Punto 90 and also has extensively driven the Palio D for over a half and a Lakh kms comprising of 24 hours nonstop runs in the Mountain Trails. He also holds several other records on his name. Shiva Kalyan S has worked as the moderator of the Hyderabad chapter of the Fiat Fraternity and is also a co-founder of Fiat Classic Club situated at Hyderabad.

The starting point of the GQ Expedition challenge of 2012 is from Vijayawada. The route of the expedition is Vijayawada> Chennai> Bangalore> Tumkur> Kohlapur> Pune> Mumbai> Jaipur> Delhi> Agra> Calcutta> Bubhaneswar> Vishakapatnam> Rajahmundry> Vijayawada. The current record of this expedition is of 86 hours with 6041km. The sponsor of this event is Fiat India.
