    Fiat delays launch of Linea in India

    The launch of most awaited car, Fiat Linea has once again delayed by Fiat India. Fiat India will now launch Linea on January 15, 2009 than its earlier scheduled launch in mid-December. The company official said that they postponed the launching date of Linea due to the recent Mumbai terror attacks, so that they think it is not the right time to celebrate when the whole country is mourning and they will lauch this sedan in mid-January next year.

    Linea is a C-plus segment sedan and was launched in the international market in May 2007. Fiat India is planning to sell more than 70,000 units in upcoming year in India. The model will be presented in both petrol and diesel models in the country. The company is also planning to launch a premium hatchback model of Grande Punto and Bravo in next year.
