Ferrari Enzo successor to retain V12 engine

The sports car manufacturer Ferrari is expected to launch a new car based on the outgoing Ferrari Enzo model. The new Formula 1 car is likely to retain the same V 12 engine. It is good to know that the Italian sports car manufacturer is using the same engine as compared to the others, where the cylinders are being knocked off to boosting the fuel efficiency and bringing down the emission standards in the car. However, the V12 engine with the hybrid system is said to increase the fuel efficiency of the car with added performance.

The Ferrari Enzo was first introduced in 2002 with a carbon-fibre body.  The Ferrari Enzo V 12 engine has the capacity to generate 660 PS peak power. The Ferrari 599’s successor in contrary to the Ferrari Enzo successor is likely to undergo major change with respect to the engine placement. The new model will have the engine in the front with a whopping power output of 700 PS against the 620 PS of the current Ferrari 599. It will however, continue with the same aluminium alloy body.
