EcoSport seen testing in Chennai,India launch imminent?
Ford’s new concept of ‘One Ford’ has been commenced with the new product EcoSport through which the company aims at expanding its empire in the global auto market as well the Indian car market. Ford contrives to contribute eight products to the Indian auto market by the mid of this decade. The EcoSport is the second of these products planned by Ford for India and was spotted being tested in Chennai. In the development and production of these new vehicles the Ford India will be investing USD 2 billion. EcoSport has been built on the B2E compact car platform that Ford developed with Mazda. The internal name for this exceptional platform is B515 and it offers torsional rigidity along with saving a lot of weight.

Under the hood, the Ford EcoSport shares a lot of features with the Fiesta saloon including the 1.5-liter diesel engine. The Ford EcoSport that the world will be getting will sport a new 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, direct injection turbo-petrol engine that is capable of driving as much power as the 1.6-liter motor does. The design of the Ford EcoSport has a lot of SUV element in it. This new car is very technically styled and has five-doors with a spacious interior. The front end of the car is rendered a low bumper with a large trapezoidal grille. The headlamps are slim and the side sills possess clad.
