Chevrolet Spark Limited Edition launched in India
General Motors today introduced a Limited Edition version of its entry-level hatchback- Spark in India. Priced between INR 3.44 to 3.99 lakhs (ex. Showroom, New Delhi), the hatch has received some minor updates inside as-well-as on the outside. “The stylish, frugal and spacious city car with superior SMARTECH engine technology appeals to all aspirational first-time buyers and young nuclear families across India,” said Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director of GM India. “With the launch of another limited edition model with more features, GM India has sought to exceed the expectations of its customers,” Mr Saxena added.

The Spark limited edition now comes with a steering wheel cover, matching neck rests, ambient foot-well lighting, beige seat covers with red stripes, new carpet floor mats on the inside. And an exterior chrome kit outside rear view mirrors (OSRVM) with integrated turn signals, side body graphics comprises the external changes. The car is available in a total of seven color options: Switchblade Silver, Velvet Red, Linen Beige, Caviar Black, Summit White, Sandrift Grey and Misty Lake Metallic.
Mechanically, the limited edition is all the same. Powered by a four-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol mill that outputs 63 PS at 5,400 rpm and peak torque of 90.3 Nm at 4,200 rpm. The engine comes with a sequential Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system, the dual distributor-less ignition system (DDLI) and a motorized throttle intake system (MTIS). These guarantees a reliable and efficient performance of the hatch in any sort of conditions. The car also offers a standard company warranty of three years/100,000 km for the limited edition Spark.
The 51 percent of the total weight of the body shell consisting of high-strength steel, ensures the best possible safety of its occupants. And optimized links between the B-Pillar and sills provide side impact protection and helps in maintaining the structure of the car in case of a collision.
Standard three-year 24/7 Free Roadside Assistance Programme comes standard with the Spark limited edition, which helps in enhancing the ownership experience for the customers. In case of a breakdown or accident, Chevrolet owners can call on 1800-103-8090 (toll-free) for Free Roadside Assistance. This assistance programme can also be availed by the existing customers at a nominal cost if the vehicle is under warranty.
