Audi to Sponsor Chelsea Football Club
The German auto car maker has old and long term relation with the sports clubs. FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are some of the sports clubs which are already the clients of Audi. And now Audi is the official global car partners of Chelsea Football Club. Audi announced about this partnership last Friday, it will be a three year’s contract with the Premier League Club to globally promote it. Martin Sander, director Audi UK said about this new partnership that both the companies are in partnership for progress and innovations and he is confident about their success in the future coming three years.
Last weekend final match played at the Champions League in Munich was won by Chelsea FC by defeating Bayern Munich which made them the new champions of Europe. € 5.3 billion of pre-tax profit had been generated by company in the year 2011 with a record deliveries of 1.3 million premium vehicles, the Audi AG is the one of the most successful luxury auto company. The UK sales registered a delivery of 113,000 vehicles during 2011 which was 14% higher from the sales figure of 2010. Mr. Ron Gourley, chief executive of Chelsea FC spoke about the new association and told that he is very excited about the deal, which club will be signing with a premium company known for its world class performance and manufacturing.
He also added that Audi is a remarkable global partner and the club will look towards the deal very closely. Sanders added to his statement that Chelsea will offer the company a broader scope of future opportunities as the brand is closely aligned with “Vorsprung Durch Technik” commonly termed as innovation and progressiveness. Chelsea FC has a focus on the high performance and sports science and this is the point where Audi is looking forward to share knowledge and the best practices of the top performers, which will be further used to elite the racing drivers of Audi which demonstrates the philosophy of looking forward which is similar in the partners.
