Moreover the Delhi based customers of luxury cars have to bear as much as Rs 20,000 as night parking charges for models priced above Rs. 10 lakh. As of yet, no such charges were involved in the luxury car segment but now as per new rules, luxury car buyers also have to pay this night charges to the Govt. as per the civic body officials, the increase in this night parking charges is due to the increasing construction cost. The MCD official commented that the material and building cost is increasing at a rapid rate and better funds are needed to assure sufficient parking lots in city and thus an increase in night charges has become essential.

Moreover the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will will increase the annual fees on commercial vehicles by double fold. The officials also said that often people park their vehicles in areas which belong to the MCP and thus should make the necessary payments. The civic body is to get a good source of income through this decision as the figures show a big addition of 4 lakh new cars on the Delhi roads. The private and radio taxis will have to bear an amount of Rs 10,000 annually as night parking charges.
