Luxury Cars Under Rs 50 Lakh For The Chauffeur Driven

Published On 2019-09-10 13:18:11.0

If you are looking to put your money down on a premium car in India, these cars offer the highest luxury quotient under Rs 50 lakh

Premium car makers are present by the dozen in India today and sometimes it can be a little confusing to pick the right option for yourself. We have compiled a list of cars that will give you a great backseat experience in the Rs 25 lakh - Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) price bracket.

  • Rs23.99 - 31.50 Lakh*
  • Mileage (upto)18.19 kmpl
    Engine (upto)1984 cc
    BHP177.46

Engine on offer: 1.8-litre petrol, 2.0-litre diesel

Wow factor: Besides a generous cabin, Skoda also offers umbrellas in the rear door of the Superb, so sunshine or rain, you are always covered.

Skoda's flagship sedan, the Superb, has long been the choice of buyers looking to enter the premium segment with a car that is sheer value for money. The Superb ticks both boxes with relative ease. While the petrol version of the Superb can be had with a manual, the diesel can only be had with an automatic transmission. The backseat of the Superb is also super comfortable and offers loads of legroom.

  • Rs24.94 - 34.70 Lakh*
  • Engine (upto)3198 cc
    BHP197.2

Engine on offer: 2.2-litre, 3.2 litre diesel engines

Wow factor: The airy cabin of the Endeavour (thanks to a panoramic sunroof) packs a cool noise cancellation feature that negates engine noise by emitting opposing sound waves.

Ford's Endeavour is an all-rounder that doesn't feel like a compromise in any department. It is a go-anywhere SUV that is made from premium quality materials and offers a great ride. While your primary seat in the car may be in the second row, you will not mind switching it with the driver's seat.

  • Rs30.28 - 41.70 Lakh*
  • Mileage (upto)19.16 kmpl
    Engine (upto)2494 cc
    BHP214.5

Engine on offer: 2.5-litre hybrid petrol engine

Wow factor: The plush rear seat packs touch controls on the armrest, which look futuristic and allow you to control AC and other features like the motorised rear sunshade.

Toyota launched the new Camry in India at the beginning of the year. It is sold only in a hybrid avatar here and comes packed with features like nine airbags, park assist, triple-zone climate control and the likes. Backseat comfort is also excellent with plush cushioning and loads of legroom. Also, rear seat occupants get their own set of controls in the armrest, to control features like the air conditioning.

  • Rs35.20 - 45.70 Lakh*
  • Mileage (upto)20.68 kmpl
    Engine (upto)1998 cc
    BHP190.0

Engine on offer: 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, 2.0-litre diesel engine

Wow factor: Generous cabin space makes you feel like you are sitting in a big SUV.
While Bimmers are mostly famous for their driving experience, the X1 also indulges you if you are in the backseat. The quality of the interior is premium and there is acres of legroom for you to stretch. Also, the X1, being a Bimmer, has the added advantage of good driving dynamics.

  • Rs25.15 Lakh - 1.41 Cr*
  • Mileage (upto)19.71 kmpl
    Engine (upto)6208 cc
    BHP502.88

Engine on offer: 1.5-litre petrol engine, 2.0-litre diesel engines

Wow factor: The rear seats of the C-Class have a 40:20:20 split, meaning you can access the boot from inside the car, even when there are two people seated on the rear seat. The rear windows get roller sunblinds, while the rear windshield gets a motorised sun shade. Also, you get a choice of 64 ambient lights in the cabin.

For those of you who are wondering why we haven't listed a single Mercedes-Benz so far, we have saved it for the last. The C-Class sedan might be the smallest sedan offered by Mercedes-Benz in India (we take the CLA to be a coupe), but by no means does that mean its luxury quotient is small too. Along with premium features like dynamic body control, multibeam LED headlamps and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the C-Class' luxury quotient is also enhanced by the use of premium materials like Nappa leather inside the cabin. The second row also offers immense legroom, thus making it the most premium car you can buy under Rs 50 lakh, in our books.

The cars listed above are some of the most premium cars under the Rs 50 lakh mark (ex-showroom). However, if you are looking for cars that offer the best driving experience in the same price range, stay tuned to CarDekho as we will soon be compiling a list of that too.
