Were Tata design electric car 'Nano'!

A UK Prof suggested that Tata Motors should designed Nano as an electric car. Prof Simon Boxall, who teaches Oceanography at the University of Southampton, told that if China can produce electric car for mass than why can't India. He went on saying that government should ban the production of every kind of car besides electric car. The Prof was delivering a lecture on the 'Climate Change: From clues in the Arctic to the impacts in India' at the British Library on Monday.

Simon said that he knew the Nano is a car for mass but it added to the pollution levels only a quarter of what a small Ford or a Toyota adds. The car still producing carbon dioxide and using carbon fuels. Stating that India's human population will be most affected by climate change he said The idea of this project is to spread the reach of awareness about the climate change.

I agree. Nano should be made in electric version. With Nano reaching masses in India pollution is going to go up so much.
