Toyota Etios Cross spied - Argentina
Few days back, Volkswagen launched Cross Polo in India to provide a wide range of vehicles to customers, and to enter into a fast growing compact crossover segment. Another automajor, Toyota that launched the Etios in the Indian car market, is now working on a compact crossover version of the Etios. The Japanese automaker developed Etios for developing market like India, but the company need to foray similar vehicles in an another growing nation like Brazil.

Couple of days back, Toyota presented Etios hatchback and Sedan in Argentina, and now a Crossover version Etios Cross has been spotted testing in Argentina. Autoblog Argentina managed to click the vehicle and provide some of its information. The vehicle is based on the Etios hatchback, and to distinguish it from the hatch, the Cross Etios gets a specific 15 inches alloy wheels, protectors with black and silver plastic, larger bars on the roof and rear spoiler.
Local media reports suggest that Etios Cross would be launched in Argentina by the end of this year. The vehicle will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre flex fuel engine, and is likely to be priced around 103,100 pesos (approximately INR 11 lakh). It is quite early to comment whether the Cross Etios will make its way to India or not, but the current market suggest that Toyota could launch the vehicle in India.
