    Tata Nano retainee customers to pay more

    Bad News for Tata Nano customers. Tata Nano retainee customers will now have to pay 3-4% more owing to an increase in the cost of inputs. The customers who had been continuing to hold their bookings even after not being alloted Nano ,the Rs one-lakh car in the first batch, will now have to pay an additional amount of 3 to 4 percent.

    Bad News for Tata Nano customers. Tata Nano retainee customers will now have to pay 3-4% more owing to an increase in the cost of inputs. The customers who had been continuing to hold  their bookings even after not being alloted Nano ,the Rs one-lakh car in the first batch, will now  have to pay an additional amount of 3 to 4 percent. 

    An official release from the company said that depending on the model, the customers (who had retained their bookings though were not selected in the first allottee customers) will have to pay the extra amount.

    Tata Motors also said that once the delivery to its first one lakh customers is made, it will raise the price of Nano by up to four per cent . The company has also started intimating its customers regarding the same. It said that the customers who had retained their bookings but are not among the first lakh will get their car delivered at a higher price. 

    In a statement the company also said that even after the sudden rise in input prices, the Tata Nanos are being priced only 3-4 % higher than the actual price announced at the launch. The company has not yet disclosed the date/month the new price would be effective from.
