Now, drive home a Nano without any booking

TATA Motors is mulling over a new plan for Nano. The plan is to simply drive away a Nano without earlier bookings of the car. This idea has come up due to the sudden increase in the production at a recently-opened factory in Gujarat.

The largest automobile company of India is planning to dispense with the booking in the state of Maharashtra. The company will soon extend this plan to other parts of India too. Till now the customers who wanted to buy Nano had to go through the process of booking the car by paying certain amount earlier. But now as the company has increased the production of Nanos at its Sanand factory in Gujarat, it would provide respite to customers from long waiting periods.

The spokesman of Tata Motors said that at this point Tata Motors do not have any specific guidance on a date. The company will announce the opening up of sales at an appropriate time. The company is also planning to reach to the target of 20,000 units per month by December.The Sanand plant of Tata Motors has the capacity for the production of 2.5 lakh units. These units can be ramped up to 3.5 lakh units.
