Lucky Nano customers to get intimation this week
Tata Nano's lucky customers will get their intimation letters this week as the company will commence delivering Nanos in the first week of next month. The process will last by the last quarter of 2010. A company spokesman said that Tata Motors would declared the first one lakh allotments for the Nano within 60 days of the closure of bookings on April 25, 2009.

It may be noted that lucky one lakh customers will be selected through a computerised random selection procedure. While the rest of the applicant may retain the booking for further delivery which will depend on the availability of the units. However, the rest of the customers will have to pay more than the invitation price i.e. around Rs 1 lakh. Among the three variants of the Tata Nano car, the base version accounted for 20% of the bookings, followed by the CX variant at 30% and the remaining 50% for the top-end LX variant.
