Low cost lubricant for low cost Tata Nano
Tata Motors is working on to select a specialized fuel efficient and low cost lubricant for world's cheapest car Tata Nano. Teams of Tata Motors' R&D and Castrol is involved in this process. The low cost lubricant is aimed to reduce emissions and fuel efficiency. For past 18-24 months, the teams have been working, in the UK and Wadala, India, to create the right blend of lubricant for Tata Nano. The main purpose of this is to develop a lubricant for world’s cheapest car so that its engine can be carry on traffic conditions, wear & tear and even it. Mr. AS Ramchander (Director (automotive) Castrol India said that Tata Nano is the car for not only India but also developed markets.
