Ford Focus electric to launch by year end
The environment friendly version of famous Ford Focus is soon to appear in the automobile world. The electric car from Ford stable will make its first appearance at the Detroit Auto Show 2011. Ford Motors will conduct the assembly of this Eco friendly car in its Wayne unit in Michigan, which is the same plant where the manufacturing of Ford Focus petrol version is carried out. The industry sources claims that the car will be powered by far better lithium ion batteries than that used in Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt.

The battery employed in the all exclusive Ford Focus will take just half time in full charging as compared to the competitors in market including Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt. The overall performance of the battery is going to be far better than these models thus it will bring a tough competition to them.
The model from Ford will not only focus on battery efficiency but will also consider other necessary features required to make the car stand out in overall convenience and performance. The car will be given features like MyFord Touch, MyFord Mobile which will help connect to application for your gadget. The full charge in Ford Focus will be achieved in less than 4 hours. The car will be capable of gearing up to a top speed of 84 mph. The car will be loaded with powerful 17 inch alloys and will be capable of Hands free drive. Ford Focus will come with great safety features which will assure high security to all occupants. It will bear 6 airbags for complete safety of all passengers. The Sony music system will give the car a good entertainment quotient. The Eco friendly car will also come with Electronic traction control system, Sirius satellite radio, Voice guided navigation and Keyless start/stop engine.
