VW registers its highest ever sales in the India with 8,326 units in March 2012

The Volkswagen brand sold 8326 vehicles in the month of March 2012 as compared to 6529 vehicles sold last month. This is the best ever sales registered by the brand in the market till date.The two volume models –the Polo and the Vento were the major contributors to the overall sales volume for the month with the former registering its highest ever sales since its launch in March 2010.

Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “The month of March has proved to be the best selling month for the Volkswagen Brand. This instills our confidence that our carlines especially the Polo and the Vento have been able to successfully prove its mettle despite the strong competition in the market. We look forward to continue enhancing our market position in the coming months.”

While the Polo and the Vento proved to be the biggest achievers for the brand –the Passat and the Jetta which were launched in April and August 2011 respectively have also showed good performance with 478 units sold in total.
