The month of June 2025 ended with a lot of cars being launched in India with notable mentions including the Tata Harrier EV and Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition. In the month of July, Kia will be taking the wraps off its first-ever mass-market EV while MG is expected to launch two of its most-awaited EVs. Kia Carens Clavis Electric

Unveil Date: July 15, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom)
While the ICE (internal combustion engine) version of the Kia Carens Clavis was introduced in India in May 2025, an all-electric version of the premium MPV will debut on July 15, 2025. Some test mules of the upcoming EV were spotted testing in India as well as overseas, which suggest that it will have a similar design to the fossil fuel powered Clavis. However, there are some EV-specific changes like aerodynamic alloy wheels and tweaked bumpers for improved aerodynamics.
The interior design too is expected to be similar, but Kia might offer the Clavis Electric with a different cabin theme to distinguish it from the ICE model. It is also expected to come with some additional features over the Clavis such as a powered co-driver’s seat with boss mode and ventilated seats for the second row.
Powertrain details of the upcoming electric MPV are yet to be revealed, but it is expected to have multiple battery pack options with a claimed range of up to 500 km.
