Toyota slashes Toyota Etios waiting period to one month

Japanese car giant Toyota intends to make a fast come back by slashing the waiting period of Toyota Etios sedan car to one month. According to reports, Earlier, Japanese car giant Toyota said that the delivery time of Toyota Etios sedan to customers will be made to less than a month, compared to existing figure of two months.

It is worth mentioning that due to March 11 earthquake, followed by Tsunami in Japan, Toyota Motor Company halted the production of Toyota cars which in turn extended the delivery period of cars to two months.

However, company will be unveiling its much awaited Toyota Etios Liva on June 27. While talking to reporters on the launch of new Toyota Corolla Altis, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa said that company has been delaying the release of its small car Toyota Etios Liva so as to complete the market requirement for the Etios sedan. Toyota Kirloskar Motors anticipates sales figures of 60,000 Toyota Etios sedan and the Toyota Etios Liva in 2011.

Report further suggests that company intends to increase the production in its Indian units by pouring Rs. 300 by the June 2012. Moreover, Toyota India anticipates selling 2.1 lakh cars in 2012.

TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing), Mr. Sandeep Singh said that previous target of selling 1, 50,000 units has now been reduced to 1, 40,000 units, owing to the loss of one month production following the tsunami in Japan.

It is worth mentioning that every global company is opting for aggressive marketing strategies and Toyota is also going to stay in-line by manufacturing products locally. Mr. Singh further added that currently 70 percent of the Toyota Etios is localized and company intends to augment it to 90 percent by 2013.

I am very happy to view the first toyata hatchback car in India. However, when will toyata launch viva diesel model because many companies have diesel models for all hatchback cars. I would prefer to buy my first car of toyata company( no.1 company in car market). Please inform me ASAP.

hi i really happy with the news of launching of diesel varient of etios. but i am little bit confused when it will be launched,i want a little bit help from your side that please must be informed to me when its going to launch.bcos in november my sister marrige so i want to purchase before that please inform me ASAP.
