Toyota Motors the biggest auto giant has been facing commotion for a while now. The Japanese auto mobile maker is agitated about Toyota's decreasing sales in the crucial US auto industry. 2010 has been quite worrisome for the auto giant due to recalls and heavy penalties.
As per the reports, the reason behind the declining sales is Toyota Motors negative brand image. It is being stated the company is losing on its reputation due to the recalls because of the acceleration issues, various legal issues and government fines which cost the auto company millions but it is also being stated that the Japanese auto industry's portfolio does not have the style which comes in the array of 21st century cars.
As per the reports in the auto industry, in the last ten years Toyota Motors and its dealerships in US are taking it easy on their cars as it was merely being sold on the company's reputation. The buyers believed in the Japanese auto company technology, its safety gadgets, Moreover the sales showed up quite well in other auto markets. It was reported that Toyota Camry sales went down by 10 per cent in the month of December when compared with the last years sales. 35 per cent of Toyota Corolla sales plunged. If Toyota won't gear up the sales of Toyota Camry it is being speculated that the company will lose the battle against Honda Accord where the Japanese car has ruled for 10 years.
Akio Toyoda, the CEO of Toyota Motors was heard saying that Toyota is currently re-designing its cars. But as per the reports, it also being often announced by the company to its dealers about various changes the auto giant its bringing to enhance its looks such as the exterior, and upgrading on its style quotient and more. It was also reported that Toyota is working towards developing its cars to be more stylish and in Vogue.
