Toyota hopes to recoup production by November
Toyota, it seems, is slowly getting back on its feet after its production facility in Japan took a hit following the devastating earthquake that rocked the nation earlier this year. According to reports from Toyota Motors, the number one automobile maker of the world is returning to pre-quake levels of production in Japan faster than expected.

The president of Toyota Motor Corporation Akio Toyota, said that the company is restoring production at fast speeds despite ongoing aftershocks. Company is expecting to recoup the normal output by November. For Japan’s production, we expect to resume 90 percent of our normal output by this month. However, interestingly, the picture for Toyota is not as rosy as it looks. According to reports, Toyota might fall short by approximately one million cars against its production target at the start of the year. A part of the reason behind it is Toyota’s heavy dependence on production plants in Japan. Unlike other makers like Hyundai Motors and Nissan, Toyota’s production in Japan accounts for as much as 38 percent of its global sales. And the hit on its Japanese production is going to have an impact on its Indian market too. Although Toyota Kirloskar, a joint venture between Toyota India and Kirloskar, refutes any claims of the Toyota’s Indian market taking a hit, Toyota India is currently running short on Toyota Etios. Etios is a sedan car from the Toyota stable which was launched last year in the Indian market.

And that’s not all, reportedly, Toyota’s sale of the Lexus also dipped by as much as 51 percent in the South Korean market, thereby further strengthening the position of rivals- Hyundai Motors and Kia Motors- which were already the leader there. After plenty of recalls last year, Toyota seems to have hit a new roadblock. Troubles don’t seem to be ending for the largest automaker in the world. Here’s hoping that Toyota India stays fit and brings more quality cars in India, one of which is small car Toyota Etios Liva, which is expected to launch on June 27.

Hello, I would like to know the current booking waiting period. because I booked car in May 05, at that time they were saying it almost take 3/4 months, but now after reading update in net that production is resuming fast, so is there possibility that waiting period might reduce to 2 /3 months
