Toyota Etios celebrating intense campaigning
1st December is what automobile fanatics are waiting for with full enthusiasm as this is the day when Toyota is planning to unveil its exciting Etios in market. And now when the model is declared to be a sedan, pricing of the car is what troubling all. Toyota has now rolled up its sleeves to give Etios a grand treatment which it actually deserve. The beautiful car has to face majorly three competitors in market namely Mahindra Logan, Tata Indigo, and Maruti D'Zire. And Toyota has all plans to give them a tough time, and it is evident from hard core publicity policies traced by them.
Yet no official announcement is made by the company on pricing of Etios. Though speculations claims it to be around Rs. 5.25 lakh, which is the right amount to stand in entry level sedan market. With a view to put a hold on these speculations, company officials said that prices will be revealed on 1 st of December and till then no other information will be provided by the company. The officials also said that deliveries of this car will trigger in the month of January 2011. Beautiful sedan from Toyota is said to be loaded with a 1500cc petrol engine. Company has taken up many serious investment on this model and one of them is 3,200 crore input in Banglore plant. This is a new plant built by Toyota and has capacity to churn out 70,000 cars per year. This one of the big investment made by Toyota on its Etios.
Toyota has realised big opportunity lined up in Indian market, and Etios is one way to trap the big pie. Toyota has big expectations from Etios and is working hard to give it that big treatment. Indian markets are growing at a fast pace and company is planning hard to grab the best out of it. Talking about the present position of Toyota in Indian markets, it has its root in SUV as Fortuner, luxury sedans as Corolla and multi-purpose vehicle as Innova. These products has made the company's position strong in its individual segments but still Toyota cannot be counted among major player in Indian markets. With its existing products it is expected to reach a sales of around 73,000 units in this year. After launching its high hope Etios, the company can expect its sales to take a major hike of 145,000 units. With this major aim in mind, the company intends to grab around 10 % of the market share in India.
