At last, dispute between Mahindra and Mahindra (MM) and Nashik plant worker came to an end. Both were agreed to sign a new agreement for three and half years. The new agreement was signed by Bhartiya Kamgar Sena Union that represents the union and the senior officials of the facility.
After this agreement, the work would resume and the company could meet the demand for its new car Xylo. It may be recalled that the workers of MM were on strike since May 4. The workers union had demanded a hike in their salaries and withdrawal of inquiry of suspension order against the union president Madhav Dhatrak. To meet the Xylo's demand which was made only in three months, the company increased its production capacity from 120 units per day to 135 units.
