The Windsor EV Essence Pro gets new colours, a bigger battery and more features
The MG Windsor EV has been updated with a new top variant called the ‘Essence Pro’, which is now available at dealerships. It comes with a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, a few added features, and cosmetic updates. Here’s everything you need to know about the MG Windsor EV before heading to the showroom.
Design


The MG Windsor EV Pro gets some tweaks like new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and an 'ADAS' badging on the tailgate. It also gets three new exterior colour options: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red and Aurora Silver. Apart from that, the exterior design remains unchanged. There is also a new Ivory White and Black cabin theme on offer.
Features & Safety


The new ‘Essence Pro’ variant brings a few additional offerings like powered tailgate, vehicle-to-load (V2L), vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Other continued features of the MG Windsor EV Pro include a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, a 9-speaker Infinity sound system, ventilated front seats with power adjustment for the driver, 135-degree reclining rear seats and connected car tech.
Besides ADAS features, it gets six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), an electronic parking brake with auto hold, hill start and descent control, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera for safety.
Powertrain Option
The MG Windsor EV now carries two battery pack options. The new top-end Essence Pro variant gets a bigger battery with a claimed range of 449 km.

Price & Rivals
The MG Windsor EV Pro was launched at introductory prices starting from Rs 12.50 lakh for the first 8,000 early bird buyers. Since all those units were claimed within the first 24 hours, the EV is now priced as follows.
