Maybach launch to be held tomorrow
Maybach is entering in India again and this time sure to spread its magic across country. Maybach the beauty adorned with luxury will hit the Indian roads on 1st February with an expected price tag of Rs 6 to 7 crore. Mercedes-Benz with the company entering in the 126th year of its presence has announced that the auto giant will come with Maybach in India. Though it has been launched in 2004, the German craftsmen were unable to divulge huge profits out of the luxury car.
So the company is coming back with the new car in a new avatar Royce and Bentley its arch rivals will be in direct competition of Maybach. The luxury on wheels will be loaded with 5,980 cc V12 bi-turbo gasoline mill which can churn 620 hp by gaining a top speed of 155 miles per hour.
Luxury segment has witnessed a tremendous growth in India and players like Ferrari, Aston Martin have been enjoying this growth. Stats reveal that around 17,000 luxury car models were sold in India last year and now it is expected that the growth of 80 per cent can be witnessed. However Maybach wasn't able to post good numbers and only 200 units of Maybach were sold which the auto company looks keen on increasing.
Peter T Honegg, the Mercedes-Benz new MD and CEO who will commence his office from 1st February will be unveiling the luxury on wheels on the same day.
Suhas Kadlaskar, Member of the Board and Director Corporate Affairs, Mercedes-Benz India, did not disclose any detail and said that on 1st February, the company will be unfolding the details.
Mercedes Benz launched various car models in 2010 which was part of its strategy and now it will focus on the marketing of its magnificent car, Maybach. As per the automobile experts, the auto company is willing to spread its wings by launching various car models and building its brand image. Though no number can be predicted that how many cars will be sold, a handsome number of luxury cars are likely to be sold.
