Mahindra reveals Rexton SUV, launch likely by mid 2012

Mahindra and Mahindra, better known as M&M revealed the Ssangyong'sRexton SUV today at the Auto Expo 2012. Rexton SUV is likely to be launched in India by mid 2012. Apart from Rexton, Mahindra also displayed two concept cars, the new XIV 1 SUV concept and Ssangyong Actyon Sports, which is likey to rival Tata's Xenon. Mahindra also asserted that the SangYong Korando E SUV will also be launched in India, however the company did not give any hint on the launching date.

Mahindra and Mahindra, better known as MM revealed the Ssangyong'sRexton SUV today at the Auto Expo 2012. Rexton SUV is likely to be launched in India by mid 2012. Mahindra also asserted that the SangYong Korando E SUV will also be launched in India, however the company did not give any hint on the launching date. According to an executive of Mahindra and Mahindra, after the successful acquisition of Ssangyong Motors, the Indian consumers had been very keen to see what is in store for them. Therefore, keeping this in mind, Mahindra and Mahindra finally unveiled Rexton SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi today.

In the month of November 2010, MM signed an authoritative agreement with the Ssangyong Motors to acquire 70% stake in the company at a total cost of about $463 million, which means approximately Rs. 2,015 crore. In addition to these Ssangyong automobiles, the company is also planning to introduce its electric versions of its well-appreciated sedan, Mahindra Verito and the brand new Mahindra Reva NXR.

It would be highly exciting to see what reception does the new Mahindra SsangYong Rexton and Mahindra SsangYong Korando E receives at the Auto Expo 2012.
