Mahindra’s premium hatchback entry in car market is said to be positioned in the small car category. It is expected to grab much attention for Mahindra as consumers are drifting towards diesel cars due to the regular rise in the petrol prices.

As per reports from relevant sources, Mahindra Mini Xylo is all set for the launch and the trial production is already started at company’s unit in Chakan. Insider reports states that if Mahindra Xylo mini price is judiciously tagged then it can be termed as perfect car for the consumers, since it is blended with all the things which they are looking for.

If market survey is taken into account then car like Mahindra Xylo mini is capable of attracting large number of people. However, if it comes in diesel version and priced between Rs 5-7 lakhs, it can turn good market share toward Mahindra Auto. Additionally, if Mahindra manages to cut down the Mahindra Xylo price to less than Rs 5 lakh, this compact SUV will be tagged with the price range in which 60 percent of cars are sold in the country. Also, the car will give tough competition to other compact members in the segment like Maruti Wagon R, Maruti A-Star, Hyundai Santro, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, Fiat Punto and Tata Indica.

As per reports from relevant sources, MM is currently eyeing on sedan segment cars, and to make an entry in that segment the Mahindra Xylo mini is expected to come added with luxurious features. This would further make things hard for premium hatchback cars like Maruti Swift and Hyundai i20. According to reports, Mahindra Auto is going to utilize smaller engine than the 2.5L diesel under the hood of compact Xylo.
