Lamborghini mulls opening second dealership in India

Lamborghini, the luxurious super car manufacturer mulls to bring a second dealership in India seeing the growing number of millionaires here. The Italian supercar maker, which is set to introduce Lamborghini Aventador in near future, is already operating in Indian market with its sole dealership in Delhi. The new showroom in Mumbai, which will see its dawn by the end of this year, is sure to boost up the sales of Lamborghini cars in India. The demand for superfast-luxury cars is on a high in the country.

Placing his confidence in Indian buyers, Deepesh Rathore, the New Delhi-based Managing Director at IHS Automotive India said that the wealth at the top of the pyramid is growing at a much faster pace. Every month there is a new segment of buyers for these cars. He added a flashy comment that people don’t take out loans to buy a Lamborghini. Their range of high performance sports cars is as popular as Aston Martin and Ferrari. Ferrari has already forayed into the country and Aston Martin too has opened a dealership in Mumbai. So a cut throat competition seems to emerge out in the otherwise sparse segment.

Although Mumbai is a much crowded city and the ever-hustling roads are not that suitable to drive a supercar but it has immense potential when it comes to the market for highly expensive, super fast machines. The supercar makers cater to a niche segment of market where buyers generally don’t care about the cost or the fuel economy. They just want a supercar that will make the best statement.
