Honda City CNG Variant
Amidst the hype of being environment friendly along with the petrol hikes that are happening in India Honda announced that they would soon bring the CNG variant of their renowned Honda City sedan. They will be bringing in the car somewhere in the festival season that is around the corner.

Honda’s diesel plans have been seeing a delay for a while now due to government tax policies, and in these times of falling demand of the petrol models, the CNG version is expected to help Honda against its diesel rivals. The suspension of the car has been strengthened keeping the weight of the CNG tank in mind, which will be installed in the boot of the car, along with a few changes to the engine.
Basis reports coming in, Honda is expected to do the fitment of the kit and cylinder at the dealer’s end and not at the factory. The Honda City CNG variant price is expected to be around Rs. 50,000- 60,000 more than the petrol variant. The ex-showroom, New Delhi price for the Honda City is Rs. 7.25 Lakh. There are no official reports coming in from Honda as of now. The major limitation for the Honda will be a limited availability of CNG in India.
