Honda BR-V Leaked Ahead of the Reveal Tomorrow
Honda’s upcoming SUV - BR-V has been leaked online ahead of its official reveal at the on-going Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015. The Japanese automaker will officially reveal it tomorrow. Speaking of its India launch, though Honda has not commented but it is most likely to be revealed at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo in Feb next year.

In terms of styling, the production version is fairly identical to the sketches released by the company in June. It is expected that this BR-V (Bold Runabout Vehicle) is based on the Brio’s platform, just like the identical looking Amaze and Mobilio, this said there are no confirmations on it from Honda. Moreover, looking at the spy shots, the vehicle features projector headlamps, Honda’s Exciting-H chrome grille. The doors have the similar kink as in the Mobilio and are probably the same. There are no rear shots of the cabin, however, the cabin is expected to be brand new unlike the case of Mobilio and Amaze.
In terms of engine options, Honda has already confirmed when they released the official sketches that the BR-V will be powered by the 1.5-liter i-VTEC motor, similar to that of the City/Mobilio. However, for the Indian market they will have to offer it with the 1.5-liter i-DTEC along with the 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol. So technically it will have the same engine options like the Mobilio, Honda might also offer an automatic option like the City.
