Citroen Enters Pre-owned Car Business In Partnership With CarDekho

The French carmaker, whose first model in India will be launched in 2020, is venturing into the used car market in India with one of the country’s biggest automotive research portals

Citroën, part of the Groupe PSA headquartered in France, has announced that it is entering the pre-owned car business in India in partnership with CarDekho. The two companies have signed an MoU to develop a seamless AnyTime, AnyWhere, AnyDevice, AnyContent (ATAWADAC) digital experience for used car customers in the country.

Citroen, which announced its entry into the Indian car market earlier this month, plans to launch four models in the country in the next four years. The company will start its product offensive with the launch of the C5 Aircross, its flagship SUV, in 2020. It also plans to manufacture the car in India and introduce it in other markets later. Following this, Citroen has plans to launch one new model every year.

CarDekho is one of India's biggest research platform for car buyers, offering everything from expert reviews, detailed specifications and prices to in-depth comparisons and videos of vehicles sold in India. The company -- which also owns the enthusiast-oriented website ZigWheels, the bike-only BikeDekho, pre-owned only Gaadi.com and YouTube pioneers PowerDrift -- is the flagship product of GirnarSoft. It was founded by brothers Amit and Anurag Jain, and is headquartered in Jaipur, India. The company also has a presence in international markets under the brand names of ZigWheels and OTO, covering countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.
