Chevrolet Spark to Launch on 25th October, 2012

One of the last major launches slated for the month of October is the Chevrolet Spark facelift. CarDekho had bought to you coverage of all the launches from the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 to the Tata Safari Storme to the SsangYong Rexton. And now at last the launch date for the Chevrolet Spark has been revealed along with the official images of the facelift. The Launch date is set for the 25th of October, 2012.

The tagline of the Chevrolet Spark facelift claims, “All New Spark.” However there is really not that much added to the facelift. The front and rear fascia get some revamping along with the interior. The interior gets a new shade but that is about it. The only thing that actually does look changed is the instrument cluster. However, the similarity between the instrument cluster of the Chevrolet Beat and the New Spark is a bit too close for comfort. It simply looks like a re-designed version of the Beat cluster.

In addition to that, it looks as if GM has not bothered to tweak the engine. The new Spark will carry the same 1.0-litre engine in its petrol and LPG variants. There has been no talk of any change in mileage or performance either.
