Aston Martin India eyes selling 100 units by 2012 end

Super premium luxury sports car maker Aston Martin has plans to sell around 100 units by the next year end. Aston Martin has sold 20 units till now. The Aston Martin is offering cars ranging from Rs1 crore to R20 crore ex-showroom. It has following cars under its portfolio in India Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Aston Martin Rapide, and the Rs20 crore car, Aston Martin One77. The Aston Martin One77 is the most expensive Aston Martin car.

The Aston Martin Rapide has been the most successful and best seller in India. The Aston Martin Rapide price in India is Rs1.5 crore. In India, Aston Martin has its showroom in Mumbai and it launched its cars in India in April. The Aston Martin cars became popular in India and around the world as the ‘James Bond Car' after James Bond rode it in some of his flicks. Aston Martin has introduced all its cars except Aston Martin Cygnet which is a small sports car that was launched recently.

Aston Martin displayed Aston Martin Rapide, the bestseller Aston Martin cars in India, along with two other models Aston Martin DBS and Aston Martin Vantage in Mumbai on Saturday. Initial sales projections suggest that the British car manufacturer Aston Martin has received tremendous response for its premium luxury cars from the country and especially from Gujarat state. Till now, Aston Martin alike almost all the international car makers, imports the car units in completely knocked down state and assembles and customizes it in India.
