The month of May will see the debut of a heavily revised MPV, a facelifted version of a premium hatchback and the introduction of a hotly anticipated nameplate in India
After a rather quiet April 2025, the Indian automotive industry is set for a buzzing May with important debuts and launches of new cars. An extremely popular MPV is set to get a major update, while a premium hatchback is set for its first-ever facelift. Also on cards will be the introduction of a hotly anticipated nameplate that enthusiasts have been waiting for, while India’s best-selling EV is set to get an important update.
2025 Kia Carens

Expected Price: Rs 11 lakh onwards (Launch In June)
The 2025 Kia Carens is set to debut later in May 2025 with a heavily revised exterior and interior to set it apart from the existing Carens, which will be sold alongside the new model. Also, it is expected to get plentiful feature additions such as the larger 12.3-inch screens from the Syros, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats for the second row (six-seater only) and level-2 ADAS.
That said, changes aren’t expected in the powertrain department, where the 2025 Kia Carens is expected to continue with the 1.5-litre diesel, petrol and turbo-petrol engines. Do note that while the Kia Carens debut is scheduled for May, its prices are expected in June.

Interior spy shots are yet to surface online, however, we expect minor tweaks in the form of an updated steering, a new colour theme and some feature updates. The Altroz offers the widest range of ICE powertrain options – NA petrol, turbo-petrol, diesel and CNG – which is expected to remain unchanged.
