A bold styling and a well-equipped package might be the strong points of BE 6, but the Harrier EV offers seven additions that could make it the better choice

The 2025 Tata Harrier EV has entered the Indian market as an all-electric SUV option in the mid-size segment. It rivals the Mahindra BE 6, which also offers plenty of tech. That said, the Harrier EV boasts some additional features that the BE 6 doesn’t offer. Here is a list of these features:.

    Digital IRVM with Dash Cam

The Harrier EV features an electronic inside rearview mirror (IRVM) that shows a live video feed from a camera mounted on the roof. It provides a clear view of the traffic behind the car and is helpful even when the cabin is full. This mirror also works as a dashcam, giving it two useful functions. The BE 6, on the other hand, has a dashcam but comes with a normal auto-dimming IRVM.

    Summon Mode

The Harrier EV's summon mode feature lets you move the vehicle forward or backward using the key fob. Additionally, it also boasts a reverse assist feature that remembers the last 50 metres you drove and can automatically backtrack the same way. While the BE 6 also lets you park the vehicle automatically it misses out on reverse memory feature.

The Mahindra BE 6 is offered with a rear-wheel drive setup, across all its variants, while the Harrier EV gets an all-wheel drivetrain, thanks to its dual motors mounted on either axle. It also offers different driving and terrain modes, which help it perform better on rough roads as well.

    Larger Display

The Harrier EV features a larger 14.5-inch QLED touchscreen infotainment system, while the BE 6 features a 12.3-inch touchscreen. However, both systems are capable of connecting to Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay wirelessly, and also feature in-built navigation.

    Rear Seat Boss Mode

The Tata Harrier EV not only gets powered front seats, but it is also equipped with an electric boss mode in the co-driver’s seat. This feature lets you move the front passenger seat forward electronically, making for additional legroom for rear-seat passengers. The BE 6 is available with powered front seats with memory function for the driver's seat, but it doesn’t offer this convenience tech.

    Transparent Mode

The Harrier EV not only offers a 360-degree view of the car, but goes a step further with a 540-degree camera setup. It allows an additional view of terrain underneath the SUV's bonnet, with transparent mode. The BE 6 on the other hand has a regular 360-degree camera with blind spot detection but doesn’t offer any underbody view.

    Terrain Modes

Last but not least are the terrain modes offered with the Harrier EV. These include six modes, Normal, Rock Crawl, Mud Ruts, Snow/Grass, Sand, and a Custom option. In comparison, the BE 6 comes with just three drive modes, Range, Everyday, and Race.

The Mahindra BE 6 ranges from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata has not revealed the full price list for the Harrier EV yet, but the base model starts at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
