3077 units of Toyota Etios booked in just 2 days
The Japanese automobile company, Toyota is celebrating the grand success of Toyota Etios launch with the record braking bookings of around 3077 units in just 2 days of the vehicle’s launch. Toyota Kirloskar has recently launched Toyota Etios sedan car on 1st of December at Bangalore and has received awesome response from the Toyota lovers with the peak booking figures in just two days. They are also planning to bring the hatchback model of the car in the first quarter of 2011.
The car has been priced at an economical range starting from Rs. 4.96 lacs to 6.86 lacs. Toyota is charging Rs. 50,000 as the booking amount for this class sedan. Toyota Etios has 5 speed manual transmission and is equipped with 1.5 litre DOHC engine which offers power of 90 Ps with 132 Nm torque. The car offers mileage of 17.6 km/l. Toyota Etios will come in six exciting colours i.e. Symphony Silver, Harmony Beige, Serene Bluish Silver, Vermilion Red, Celestial Black and White The company will also bring its hatchback model naming Toyota Etios Liva by April next year.
With Toyota Etios in the market the company has promised to provide the world class technology and quality.The will manufacture 70,000 units of Toyota Etios annually. Toyota Etios is expected to compete with cars like Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Manza and Hyundai Accent. Toyota expects overall 10 percent market growth with Toyota Etios in the domestic market.
Toyota Etios is now available in 5 exciting variants i.e. Toyota Etios J, Toyota Etios G, Toyota Etios G Safety, Toyota Etios V and Toyota Etios VX. The shock absorbers in front are of MacPherson Strut while the rear suspension is non-independent Torsion Beam. From the safety point of view too the car stands at the front foot, the car is equipped with two airbags for driver and front passenger seat. The car is also complied with safety features like EBD(Electronic Brake Distribution), Immoblizer, Keyless Entry in high end models, Driver Seat Belt warning and Door Ajar Warning. Toyota Etios sedan has started giving fruitful results for Toyota and soon its hatchback model will also give a stiff competition with the major hatchback market shareholders like Maruti, Hyundai and Tata in the domestic market.
