Skoda Fabia production plant at Chakan is eco-friendly
The day marked the celebration of India’s Independence Day at its Chakan Plant, Pune by German auto major, Volkswagen. This celebration was heart-warming as all the employees of the Volkswagen Plant in Chakan came together and made it a cherish able moment. The celebrations began with the planting of saplings by Mr. Joerg Mueller, Volkswagen Group Chief Representative India, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen India Private Limited; along with the Board Members and all the employees at Volkswagen India’s plant at Chakan.

The day marked the celebration of India’s Independence Day at its Chakan Plant, Pune by German auto major, Volkswagen. This celebration was heart-warming as all the employees of the Volkswagen Plant in Chakan came together and made it a cherish able moment.
The celebrations began with the planting of saplings by Mr. Joerg Mueller, Volkswagen Group Chief Representative India, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen India Private Limited; along with the Board Members and all the employees at Volkswagen India’s plant at Chakan.
Mr. Mueller, addressed the employees on the occasion and gave the following statement, “the planting of saplings and watering them with the recycled water from our production facility is our symbolic contribution for a cleaner, greener and healthier environment.” Mr. Mueller also formally announced the Start of Production for the Skoda Fabia from the Chakan plant.
The idea and its real life implementation was welcomed by all the employees and they were rejoicing the coming together of all the fellow colleagues.
