New Jaguar XF at unbelievable Rs 35 lakh soon
A new edition of Jaguar XF was launched in the car markets of Europe and the US. While the US boasts of high-powered engine of 470 HP 5.0 litre V8 engine, the Europe Jaguar XF is equipped with 2.2 litre diesel engine that is highly fuel efficient for a Jaguar model. Tata Motors is going to launch the new Jaguar XF in 2012 with 2.2 litre engine, and is likely price it less than the current Jaguar XF. The Jaguar XF until now had been using 3.0 litre engine with a price tag of Rs 63.5 lakh. With Tata Motor’s decision to go with the 2.2 litre engine, there-by cutting down the cost, the new Jaguar XF Price is likely to be around Rs 35 lakh.

It has been observed with BMW 520d and Mercedes E250 CDI, they have used the 2.5 litre engine to cut down the cost; the same strategy is adopted by the Jaguar XF to bring down the cost. This is going to be the first time on another score as well, Jaguar XF is going to be the first ever Jaguar model to be assembled in India, however, the sports car, Land Rover Freelander 2, is already being assembled in the Pune facility of JLR. Since, the Jaguar XF will be using the same engine as that of the Land Rover Freelander 2, it will be an easier challenge for the Tata Motors to handle.

The 2012 Jaguar XF version is going to have the first ever engine start-stop technology from the Jaguar Land Rover stable. It is going to be equipped with 2.2 litre turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 190 HP of maximum power and 450 Nm of maximum torque. Jaguar XF is installed with 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox from Ford Motors. The peak speed of the 2012 Jaguar XF is claimed to be 225 kmph. The new Jaguar XF is believed to have been incorporated with changed interiors and exteriors along with few other changes borrowed from the Jaguar XJ. The colors of the interiors are also changed including the color scheme of central console, steering wheel and the front. The main driver instrument ensemble is now a full-colour TFT unit. Other than these models, we have the Land Rover Discovery 3 SUV available in Indian auto market with a price of around Rs 59 lakh.
