Ford Fiesta dealer's stocks run out, booking for 2014 model to commence soon

Ford, the American manufacturer created a lot of buzz in Indian auto sector with Figo, Fiesta and EcoSport. Now as the financial year (2013-14) is at close, we looked at the sales report and found that the company has not sold Fiesta as per the expectations in the last three months. It gives an indication of an early arrival of the 2014 Fiesta which was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo. To further enquire, we even called few dealers (KS Ford Jaipur, Delhi Ford and Harpreet Ford ) and all of them mentioned the unavailability of Fiesta model and revealed that the bookings for the 2014 Fiesta is expected to commence soon.

The all new Ford Fiesta features Aston Martin inspired grille, redesigned front bumper, restyled headlamps and sporty taillamp cluster. The car will be offered in both the fuel trims. It is expected that the new car will in-house 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol engine will belt out a maximum power output of 197bhp and peak torque of 140Nm while the diesel engine develops power of 89bhp and max. torque of 204Nm. However, seeing the great demand of fuel efficient EcoBoost engine (used in Ford EcoSport), the 2014 Fiesta might carry it under the hood. In Indian sedan segment, the car will give a tough competition to Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento.
