Toyota likely to lose numero uno position to GM

It seems that the war of supremacy between the two legendary car manufacturing companies of the world, General Motors of United States of America and the Japanese car maker Toyota Motor Corporation is going to get high flames of competition in the coming months. According to the reports revealed by industry sources, after overcoming from the situation of bankruptcy during last two years, the American auto manufacturing company General Motors is again tightening shoes to capture its lost position from its strongest contender Toyota Motors of Japan, which at present is suffering from affects of twin natural disasters of March 2011.

Rumor has it that the Detroit based American Company General Motors with an objective of doubling the sales of its cars is planning to invest 5 billion$ in its plant located in China. It is being highly speculated that the recent launch of General Motors Malibu has received high appreciation by the global market and if the rumors are to be believed then the General Motors plan to bring its modified version soon in the global market.

On the other hand talking on the situation Mr. Akio Toyoda, President Toyota Motors said, that soon he will be starting a campaign to strengthen the position of company in the American car market. He also added that more than 10 million cars will be recalled to repair the defected cars due to sticking accelerator pedals and faulty floor mats that resulted to sudden acceleration claims.

The dealers of Toyota Motors are mulling seriously on the drowning situation. According to one of the Toyota dealers, to stay in market, company will have to sustain its sales but with this Toyota will have to work on other matters also like strong customer support, qualitative cars and moreover the position of reliability for which no will compromise.

In this way the misfortune of one company has resulted in fortune of another. The coming months will vouch who is superior, General Motors or Toyota Motors.
